The Flavor Equator
New Jersey is split by the Water Ice Equator. It turns out the two halves order differently too. These are the water-ice flavors that lean hardest to each side, by how much more often a region's stands serve them. Tap any flavor to see where.
Numbers after each bar are stands in that region (its own side first). "Lean" is share-normalized, so South having fewer total stands doesn't tilt the whole board, and we only chart flavors served at 10+ stands so these are popular flavors, not one-off oddities. The pattern is real: South Jersey keeps the Philly water-ice canon (orange cream, swedish fish, root beer, sour apple), while North Jersey skews toward richer, gelateria-style flavors (rum raisin, pistachio, coffee). At smaller scale the North tilt is even sharper for true gelato flavors like dulce de leche, stracciatella and tamarindo.
